These kits were made by POLA in West Germany. They are not the greatest quality. If you built models in the early 80’s, than you know the kits like AMT/Ertl were not as good as Monogram/Revell. These are what I’d say are ABS or PVC plastic maybe. They aren’t the soft plastic like polystyrene.

I have sealed one I got as a throw in with some other stuff, we both didn't know it was supposed to be rare or something. I also have a non US-1 one open and ready to glue bomb. Those kits are hard to pin a value on, like all of US-1, people that had it as kids have reached just the right age and have no brains and lots of money now. In November one sold buy it now sealed for 45 bucks, early December auction 81 dollars, Christsmas eve buy it now for 339 dollars, that seller got a nice Xmas gift. It wasn't either one of the other two, first thing I thought. I'll sell mine for $338.99, such a deal!! Now somebody will see this and want to buy it. I would have no choice and have to sell it, as they always say... never look a gift Generation X'er in the mouth. :ROFLMAO:

The box is worth more than the building. That's what US1'ers are paying for.
