I think these folks with rough items take crappy, low-res photos on purpose. But even with bad photos you can tell there are issues like the sticker on the Shell Roadside Service sign.

Seller just posted a photo of the Shell sign. What a pity that got damaged over time, everything else actually looks pretty decent, I think it's just the photos that make a bad impression. Like many old toys, it may have been stored in an attic, garage, or crawl space or out building for decades.

Looks like it had a piece of tape on it or something.

I’m amazed some many of these have posted the last couple years. This was a set you hardly ever seen. I suppose the last two years have been pretty good though, a couple 3918’s came up, that complete Stomper set, quite a few 3951’s.. Even seeing that export Canadian Sear’s Empire set.

I’m split about the prices though, it’s nice a lot of stuff is going for cheap, but it kinda hurts the “investment portfolio” at the same time. Wait and see where this 3213 ends, I don’t know if it’s going to hit the $750 threshold they been known to do.. I’m gonna bet it will hit just below $600..

I guess "a lot" is subjective. Attached are all the wrecker-related items that have been listed/sold in the last three years that used proper keywords in the listing. Note two of those in 2023 are the same set where I bought one and cleaned it and sold it again.

As you can see 10 3213 sets were sold between 2021-2023.
