Which set would you rather have?
The 3320 has most accessories for the ‘82 season, exception being the 3415 Bulldozer, one of four to have the 3410 Crane, and is one of two to have the 3435 Airport. It has two trailers, gravel and flat. Green dump 3901 and yellow/orange cab 3904.
The 3336 is the biggest set made. Yes, the 3226 also has ten accessories, but being an ‘82 set it doesn’t have the auto loader/unloader, but does have a 3430 Freight Terminal and 3435 Airport. The 3336 lost the 3435 Airport and 3430 Freight Terminal to add the Auto Loader/Unloader. The 3336 is the only set to have three trailers. So that is what edges it past the 3226 for title of the biggest set.
At nine accessories the 3320 would be the third biggest, but only because it doesn’t have a 3436 like the 3226. Otherwise the sets are identical. Even the track parts are similar as the 3320 has two 9” straight tracks to the 3226’s one, but the 3226 uses one more turn-out. This gives the 3320 a unique layout.
The 3336 uses the same track layout as the 3226, but because the 3226 put the terminal track at the edge, the position of the accessories changes. The 3226 has four turnouts on the outside due to the Airport, where the 3336 only has three, and picks up an additional on the inside. The 3336 terminal is centered.
