Up for auction this week is a Smith's Tire Goodyear Pickup Truck No. 3951. This one does not have the original brown guide pins, likely because they were broken at some point and replaced with metal guide pins. Overall, it's not bad IMHO. Recent ones have sold for around 200.00, but because of the rarity, the prices are unstable.

Very nice, seller does have reserve on this one. I prefer the metal pins. Noisy but they don't break.

Noisy but they don't break.
Mine trucks had metal pins when I had these sets in the 1980s. I've never had any brown guides as an adult break, but also don't run the Smith's truck a lot. I could see how they would break when removed from the track and sat on a surface or thrown around which is what I probably did. Lol

These are consistently selling for 200.00+ now! One just listed up for sale!

Obe been under the weather,
I have seen your skills! You can do IT! BTW welcome back.
Thanks, been under the weather but a little better now.
I could fix that truck with some strategic joinery but it wouldn't be worth it. It looks like a dog chewed the roof off? :)

Sold- 203.50 definitely has condition issues.

Someone must have backed out of the sale, they relisted it-

It's been 7 months since one has been listed that I've noticed. This one has the original brown guides but both are broken. Best solution is to find a chassis from A green dump truck with the brown slides and swap. Make sure you swap the rear weights to keep that original!
