Just joined this forum, and I really enjoy it. I am looking for a chrome front bumper/grill for the yellow Stomper Pick-Up truck. While I would prefer an original, a high quality reproduction replacement part would work as well. I continue to check EBay, but have been unsuccessful thus far. Any suggestions?

If you find just the front grill you will be incredibly lucky. I can't imagine why any 3-D artist would take the time to make the grill either since this are fairly rare and a niche vintage toy. This is why I avoid the ones that come up for auction that are missing the front grill or top rack.

Thanks for the quick reply and the information. I picked up the yellow Stomper for $50, sans the grill. I figured it can fill a hole in my collection until I can find a complete one at a reasonable cost. I also do some 3D printing, so I may take a crack at creating one, if just for the practice.

I do have a couple NOS that are painted (not chrome) I have a black and silver/dull chrome. The black looks better IMO. I can sell 1 but need to hold on to 1 because they’re to hard to find. I’ll post the details in a picture. Let me know if your interested👍🏻

I strongly discourage people from sending money via paypal Friends & Family as it is a good way to get scammed. Send it with buyer protection or DO NOT SEND IT. There is NO REASON that a transaction between two complete strangers needs to be facilitated using this method of payment!

THEY ARE NOT FRIENDS & FAMILY.

I do agree with that as well. However, I don’t know any other way of making a transaction without getting eBay, paypal etc…fee’d to death just to get a fellow hobbyist a part he’s having a hard time finding. I have a eBay account (mxer20) but I’m not going to pay them fees list this item. This is also the reason I posted a picture with my name, date etc of the actual item in real time. FYI. Most slot car collectors are my friends and hobby family:)

The photos mean nothing now that we have AI. Even talking on the phone doesn't matter anymore because of AI. I am a website developer and e-commerce and do not endorse or suggest sending payments for items Friends and Family aka F&F. This is a 25.00 item and a 4.5% PayPal fee would be $1.13. It's essentially insurance for doing business with a complete stranger and no recourse if you never get the item. You can send payments via paypal GOODS & SERVICES, which is what is happening here, buying goods. As the buyer, I always offer to pay the fee rather than send F&F.

I also own and operate the world's largest Ford Thunderbird club since 2001. Over the years, we have had numerous people scammed by Paypal Friends and Family for Thunderbird Parts, in fact just had one get taken for $4,000.

Don't take this personally, this does not mean I think you are scamming anyone, I just think that things need to be done correctly and i have an ethical responsibility to pass this along. You are both adults and can decide how to proceed. :-)
I actually purchased some items myself a couple years ago from a member, and I paid the extra fee for "Goods and Services" which was about $9.00.

I even have a video I posted on YT showing someone trying to scam me for US-1 Trucking items.

NEVER SEND MONEY FOR ITEMS ON FORUMS OR SOCIAL MEDIA VIA F&F AKA FRIENDS & FAMILY. A TOTAL STRANGER ON THE INTERNET IS NOT YOUR FRIEND & FAMILY. THIS IS MY RECOMMENDATION BASED ON 25+ YEARS IN WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT. FORUMS AND SOCIAL MEDIA AND PAYPAY F&F AND GIFT CARDS ARE A TOP METHOD PEOPLE ARE SCAMMED.
