Hello all,
new to the forum, but not new to US1. My dad bought me a US1 set when I was 2, back in 1982. I wore that set out, but I still have it. Many small fixes kept it running until I put it away when those types of toys were not "Cool" anymore. Now with a son of my own we have collected some new pieces and new activity stops. We still have not landed on a good layout that we are happy with. Until, I found one on this forum. The included picture has to be the best use of space I have ever seen with a US1, Including the Train even!
I do have a fair bit of questions on this layout. So I hope to talk to you all more soon, maybe when Im off work.

Nice to be here!

My First question is. What are the smaller turn pieces? They add new angles that are not achievable with the large curves in the US1 sets. Do they have a part # so I may search for them?

Thank You for the link. I am looking for some of those pieces as we speak.
Currently the build sits on a table that is 5x10. made from a wooden subframe and 4" closed cell foam board, so we will be able to carve ditches, low and higher areas of grass.
