For Sale Forum Guidelines
Please follow these rules when posting items for sale. Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in your thread being removed without notice.
1. Photo & Verification Requirements
- Photo Verification Required: To prevent fraud and protect our community, at least one photo must include a handwritten note next to the item showing your forum handle (username) and the current date. Digital overlays or edited text on photos are not accepted.
- Post Photos Directly: You must upload photos of the item directly to our site. Do not tell members to "email for photos." Threads without images will be removed.
- Include a Price: Every listing must include a clear asking price, an opening bid, or the current auction bid.
- No Third-Party Links (Classifieds): Do not post links to Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, or other external classified sites instead of creating a real listing here. Wasting members' time with lazy links is not allowed.
- Auction Links (eBay, etc.): You may link to your live eBay or auction listing, but you must still include the verification photo, item details, price/bid info, and at least a few photos directly in your forum post.
2. Posting Restrictions & Security
- Sell Your Own Items Only: Do not post items on behalf of other people, and do not post random listings you found online.
- No Personal Contact Info: For your own safety, do not post your phone number or email address publicly in the thread. Spambots scrape this data constantly, and it protects your privacy from bad actors. Use the forum's private messaging system instead.
- No VPNs or Proxies: Posts made using VPNs, iCloud Private Relay, proxies, or IP anonymizers are strictly prohibited due to the high risk of fraud.
3. Updating Your Listing
- Marking Items Sold / Price Drops: You cannot edit or delete your post after the first few minutes. To lower your price or mark the item as SOLD, simply reply to your own thread with a new post.
