These Exxon Garage Switch Tracks are pricey! I have an original I got as a teenager, as seen in the video below, but I needed another one so I could add more trucks to the track. I finally found one this week, and the auction landed at 100+ bucks! I guess it is new. How many

Exxon Garages do you have?

I have two exxon garages, unfortunately they are starting to turn yellow. I was fortunate enough to catch a bunch of fire stations on clearance at Toys R Us in the late 80's. I bought about 8 on them for a dollar a piece. I still have 5 or 6 of them. I painted them different colors back then.

I was buying Schaper Stompers in the 80's, I made a lot of money selling those things on eBay . They go for as much as the US-1 Stompers or more now. I have two Exxon garages, one on the track and one sealed in the box. They should have added a detent on the switch to hold it in the middle so neither side can go so you can have more than one on the same side of the track. I need to add a little bump in the middle position on the track base and a corresponding concave section on the switch handle to hold it. Or cut out a section of the track to isolate it and add a switch to energize it when needed. I just put it in the middle position now now and hope for the best since I have the Smith's Tire garage and the Exxon garage on the same side of the track.

Mike, You have me sold on this stuff. I got to go get some.
I learned the technique from toy experts who restore Star Wars vintage items. I was surprised it worked so well on the US1 track. Also works on the barrels that have turned yellow.

I'm going to get a bottle. I want to try it on road signs and the crate loader building.
