Replacement Pipe For Crane

As everyone has seen I painted a new crane for the layout. Does anyone have an idea for replacement pipe?

I was thinking 1/2" Pex tubing may work. Although the wall thickness may be to much. I f you know any plumbers they may have some scarp pieces that you can try.

So I found a scrap piece of 1/2 pex. I.d. is the same as stock pipe. Wall is thicker. I rough cut a couple samples. Havent had a chance to try it but I will let you guys know if it works.

Attached is a 3-D Printed file from Mike Turvey for pipes.
