Quick question from the UK, where getting Tyco US1 tires isn't easy-but Aurora AFX, Micoscalextric and Tyco Racing is bit easier (and shipping costs from the US can be high). I can see some tyres are 0.46 OD and 0.230 wide but are these universal for all vehicles? If not, what the the tyre sizes for the different vehicles?

Obviously, rear tyres are more important-although front tyres help with handling.

I have fitted replacement Aurora AFX tyres but these are often too wide; the fire truck sticks on the power track although the trucks seem to run okay.

Someone claims that tires that are meant for Autoworld 3 Gear Xtraction or Aurora AFX & Magnatraction are also compatible, however you are best to bite the bullet and buy some of these tires-

You could probably resell them on the UK Ebay site and make some of your money back, there are quite a few collectors there.

Thanks. I've looked at your tyres and they do seem the best option-just not so keen on the price of shipping. I'll ask about that.

Are they all a standard size in US1?

Many of the UK collectors frequent the same sites and groups that I do-connecting up means spares for mainly other makes (Triang Minic, Playcraft [the precursor to the first Aurora cars system], etc).

No, the people in the UK buy them from the same seller I posted above. You are pretty much spinning your wheels, pun intended, trying to find another solution. Bite the bullet, buy some extras and sell them locally on your UK sites to recoup your shipping cost.

Thanks again for your helpful replies. Unfortunately, there is no shipping to the UK. I'll buy Aurora replacements and cut them down.
