Hi there, I have a spare black Firebird body that I’d like to mount on a US-1 chassis, but I noticed that the clear plastic headlight piece gets in the way of the front part of the chassis.

For those of you who own an original US-1 Firebird, could you please tell me whether it uses a different headlight piece or if that part was simply omitted?

Thanks !

Tyco made non-US-1 versions of the body as well. The US-1 Version is not lighted. Below is a US-1 Trucking Body & Chassis.

Key Models & Eras
  • 1979–1982 Trans Ams: Released on the HP7 and early Magnum 440 chassis, these remain the most iconic Tyco Firebird designs.
  • US-1 Electric Trucking: In the 1980s, Tyco's US-1 trucking system uniquely included a disabled/wrecked Firebird accessory that could be loaded onto a flatbed trailer.
  • Magnum 440-X2: Later 90s versions featured upgraded, high-performance X2 chassis, often seen in white/gold or sponsorship liveries
